The former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama also shared words at the Democratic National Convention this year. This lovely lady that we have all come to love and respect more and more as we got to know her shared the following point in her speech:
“Who we choose as our president in this election will determine whether or not we honor [the] struggle [of our ancestors] and chip away at that injustice”.
And she touches on more profound points about how far America has gone downhill since the Obama administration ended in 2016. She highlights how many Americans have turned their backs on the country in favor of chaos and apathy.

3. Julia Louis-Dreyfus
Julia Louis-Dreyfus hosted the fourth night of the Democratic National Convention. This actor and comedian also jested that they were going to add a fifth night to the convention that would consist of them playing Michelle Obama’s speech on a loop. (So you should definitely give it a watch above if you haven’t yet gotten the opportunity.)

The 19th amendment guarantees the right for American women to vote. And Kamala Harris notes that we need to pick up the torch from the women that have blazed the way for us all.
This amazing woman is actually the first Black woman (and the first daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants) to get nominated for national office by a major political party.
While she has undoubtedly already made history with her empowering presence, having her as VP will be a fantastic pillar of progression for America.
